On 7 July 2026, D. Sancho I Secondary School hosted a dissemination activity as part of the Erasmus+ “ECol” project. The activity took place during an English language training course for teachers. Teachers involved in the ECol project delivered a presentation in English to the participants. The session provided an opportunity to introduce the project and its main objectives. It also highlighted the importance of ecology and environmental awareness in the school context. The Erasmus+ ECol project focuses on promoting ecological awareness and sustainable practices. It encourages schools and their communities to reflect on environmental challenges. The project also aims to strengthen the involvement of students and teachers in ecological initiatives. Through its activities, ECol contributes to creating a more environmentally responsible school community. It also promotes the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of
ecology. During the presentation, the teachers shared information about the work developed within the project. The participants were introduced to the activities and initiatives carried out by the school. The presentation also allowed the teachers to understand the importance of the project for the school community.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of education in promoting sustainable behaviours. The session encouraged participants to reflect on how environmental issues can be addressed in schools. The use of English during the presentation was also particularly relevant. It demonstrated the international dimension of the Erasmus+ programme. It provided an opportunity to combine language learning with the dissemination of an educational project. In this way, the activity connected professional development, language skills and environmental education. It also
contributed to strengthening the international dimension of the school. The event represented an important dissemination opportunity for the ECol project. Sharing the project with other teachers helps extend its impact beyond the group directly involved. It allows the project’s objectives, activities and experiences to reach a wider audience. It can also inspire other members of the school community to participate in ecological initiatives. Dissemination is an essential part of Erasmus+ projects. By sharing experiences and results, schools can promote cooperation and
exchange good practices. The presentation at D. Sancho I Secondary School therefore contributed to giving greater visibility to the ECol project. It reinforced the school’s commitment to sustainability, environmental awareness and international cooperation. Through activities such as this one, the ECol project continues to promote a more ecological and sustainable school community.
